LaVallee’s gold winning run included a no-hands backflip, a no-feet backflip and a final backflip, with his hands on the handlebars but feet off and fully extended to his back bumper with the biggest amplitude of the night — and going over a 120-foot gap. It earned him a score of 89 and a gold medal in the Snowmobile Freestyle Final at X Games Aspen 2013.
Torstein Horgmo wins the gold in the Snowboard Big Air Final after landing the first switch backside triple cork in X Games history, earning him a perfect score and beating Mark McMorris on his nail-biting final tie-breaking run.
Henrik Harlaut made history when he landed the first-ever nose butter triple cork 1620, scoring a perfect 50 and winning the men's Ski Big Air gold at X Games Aspen 2013.
Mark McMorris crushed rival Shaun White in the 2013 X Games Aspen Men's Snowboard Slopestyle, earning him the highest score ever in the event's history and winning the gold.
Shaun White opened his winning run at X Games Aspen 2013 with a staggering record-breaking 24.1-foot, 1-inch backside air, beating his own record by an entire foot, and earning him his 6th repeat gold in the Snowboard SuperPipe event, the second person to achieve a 6-peat at the winter X Games.
Elena Hight landed a first-ever (by a female or male) double backside alley-oop rodeo, winning the Silver at the 2013 Women's Snowboard SuperPipe final. The trick – the first double cork ever in a women's competition – made history. Only two other snowboarders have ever landed it, but neither Danny Davis nor Shaun White did it in competition.
Daniel Bodin lands a perfectly executed backflip seatgrab indian air over the 100-foot gap to win the gold in the Snowmobile Best Trick at the X Games Aspen 2013.
Joe Parsons' lands the first ever 'gator hater' trick at the Snowmobile Best Trick event, which is a variation of his "gator wrestler" that has him seated backward on the landing. Though he won the silver, many feel that he was slighted by the judges for the gold because it was on the 75-foot gap. This time you can be the judge!
Kelly Clark edges out history-making competitor Elena Hight on her final run, opening with a frontside 1080 to a cab-7, reaching 14 feet on the hit and getting huge air the rest of her run.
Tucker Hibbert made X Games history by becoming the first athlete to complete a six-peat at the winter X Games after winning the gold in the Snowmobile SnoCross final.
Heath Frisby wins the Bronze in Snowmobile Best Trick final at X Games Aspen 2013 with his first ever underflip trick.
